Dear Church Family,

Once again I find myself writing to you at a time of uncertainty.

While Victorian restrictions have gone backwards since I last wrote, we have been preparing to open up our policy on church gatherings in cases where government restrictions allow. This has involved outlining processes and guidelines for the use of church buildings, as well as information for those running gatherings on how and when they can be organised.

In preparation for this Jim Langdon has agreed to be the KSBC Covid-19 Safety Officer. Jim is working with the Leadership and staff at KSBC to ensure that when we come together at church it is in a responsible and safe manner. Any Covid-19 safety issues should be directed to Jim in the first instance on 0413 130 825.

All use of the church buildings will need to be booked and approved in advance with the church office, and all organisers will need to read and understand the Covid-19 information provided to them, agree that room limits are not exceeded and ensure the cleaning procedure and checklist is completed, signed and handed into the office. No gatherings will be permitted at the church unless they strictly meet the criteria located on the Victorian Government’s Website.

All those attending the church buildings will need to sign in, preferably via the online form located on our website.

Small groups and other home organised gatherings can be organised once restrictions are eased to those outlined in Step 2 of the Framework for a covidsafe Australia (non-work gatherings of up to 20 people). Currently we are limited to 5 in Victoria – so there will be no formal KSBC gatherings organised at people’s homes at this stage. KSBC guidelines for hosting gatherings in homes will be circulated in the near future.

Warm regards,

Daniel
KSBC Church Secretary
